This is a beautiful, friendly and award-winning Park which is very popular with families. The Park is situated on the River Ure. Pre-booking is essential and is done online via the Park's website
www.sleningfordwatermill.co.uk. There is a minimum of 2 night's stay/3 over Bank Holidays.
The Park's facilities include two toilet/shower blocks, a family shower room, disabled facilities, six washing-up stations, a laundry room with a free ice pack freezing facility, an comprehensive information room, a room with a table tennis table for hire and a small, independantly owned shop which stocks a wide range of essentials including bacon, sausage, milk and bread. They offer a Calor exchange service and offer a take out menu.
There is an independant canoe shop on site who can hire out sit-on top kayaks for those who wish to have a go!
A small holiday flatlet is available to let during the season. Price is for upto 4 people sharing.
Purpose made BBQ's and disposable BBQ's, raised off the ground, are acceptable but no form of open/ground fire should be made or created from the BBQ's remains anywhere at Sleningford Watermill.
Nearby Attractions
Lightwater Valley Theme Park and Retail Outlet is approximately a mile away and there are plenty of attractions and facilities in (or near) Ripon (which is 5 miles away) and Masham (5 miles away). Both Ripon and Masham have market days. The Park makes an ideal base for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.
For drinking and eating out, there is The Bull and The Bruce Arms at West Tanfield. Ripon boasts a number of cafes, restaurants and takeaways including Chinese, Italian and Indian. The nearest fish and chip shop is in Masham.
